Martin Richard

Bio:
Martin Richard, a young third grader, was tragically killed on April 15, 2013. He was one of three victims killed in the Boston Marathon bombings. He was standing with his mother Denise Richard and sister, 6, when bombs hidden in bins exploded within 12 second of each other. Martin and his family were there to support Bill Richard, Martin’s father. As Bill approached the finish line, Martin gave him a hug. When he turned to return to his mother, the first bomb went off, killing Martin, injuring his mother, and blowing off his sister’s leg.

Personal Life:
Martin was one of three children. He was the son of Martin Richard and Denise Richard.
