Lily James (born Lily Chloe Ninette Thomson on April 5, 1989 in Esher, Surrey, England) is an British actress best known for her role as Lady Rose MacClare on the period drama, Downton Abbey. James first began her professional acting career portraying Ethel Brown in the BBC production of Just William in 2010. She has appeared in the movies like Wrath of the Titans and Fast Girls. James will star at the title role in the 2015 Disney live-action adaptation of Cinderella.
