Bio:
Laurie Luhn (born 1960) is a former booker for FOX News. She claims Roger Ailes had sexually harassed and “psychologically tortured” her for 20 years. Laurie met Roger in 1988, when she was a 28-year-old employee on George H.W. Bush‘s first presidential campaign. She saw Roger’s political ads while in the office, and decided she wanted to go into communications. She approached Roger in 1990 looking for a job, and he got her research work at Ailes Communications. But she alleges he also started making her perform sex acts to get ahead. She claims he blackmailed her with photos and videos from the encounters so that she would keep quiet. In 2011, Laurie told higher ups at Fox News about the alleged abuse, and was given a $3.15 million settlement when she left the company. Laurie came forward publicly about the alleged abuse in 2016, after she saw that other women, like Gretchen Carlson, spoke up about their experiences.
