Laila Ali (born Laila Amaria Ali on December 30, 1977 in Miami Beach, Florida) is a former American professional boxer and current television personality. Laila grew up in Southern California. She enrolling in Santa Monica College to earn her business management degree. In an Good Morning America interview with Diane Sawyer, Laila expressed her desire to follow her father, Muhammad Ali, into boxing. Laila had her first professional fight in 1999, which she won. She would compete in 24 more fights, going undefeated and winning 21 one of her fights by knockout. One of her most noted fights was against Jackie Frazier-Lyde, the daughter of her father’s rival, Joe Frazier, in 2001. After retiring in 2007, Laila appeared on season four of Dancing With The Stars. Alongside Hulk Hogan, she hosted the revival of American Gladiators. She also appeared on episodes of the television shows The Biggest Loser, Yo Gabba Gabba, Fashion Police and Chopped: All Stars.

Laila is the eighth of her father’s nine children and his youngest daughter. Laila married Johnny McClain in 2000, who became her manager. The two divorced in 2005. In 2007, she married former NFL player Curtis Conway. They have two children together – son Curtis Muhammad Conway, Jr and daughter Sydney Jurldine.
