Kurt Russell (born Kurt Vogel Russell on March 17, 1951 in Springfield, Massachusetts) is an American actor. Kurt was a child star, appearing in his first role in 1957’s western series, Sugarfoot. At age 11, Kurt appeared uncredited in Elvis Presley’s It Happened at the World’s Fair. As a child actor, Kurt was signed to a long-term contract with Walt Disney Studios, becoming the studio’s top star in the 1970s. He starred in such Disney movies as The One and Only and The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes. In 1979, Kurt was nominated for an Emmy for Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Special for the made-for-television film, Elvis. This movie was the first time Kurt worked with director, John Carpenter. The two would work together on films Escape from New York, The Thing, and Big Trouble In Little China. In 1983, Kurt won a Golden Globe for his performance with Meryl Streep in the film, Silkwood. In the 1990s, Kurt appeared in movies Backdraft, Tombstone and in the sci-fi film, Stargate. In 2006, Kurt revealed he was the real director of Tombstone. Kurt continues to act, starring in movies like Death Proof and Furious 7.

Personal Life:
In addition to acting, Kurt played professional baseball with the California Angels’ minor league team, the Bend Rainbows. An injury forced him to retire and focus on acting. In 1979, Kurt married actress Season Hubley and together, they had a son, Boston Russell. The two divorced in 1983 and Kurt connected with Goldie Hawn. They’ve been in a relationship ever since. Together, they had a son, Wyatt, and Goldie’s children with Bill Hudson, Oliver Hudson and Kate Hudson, consider Kurt to be their father.
