Justin Trudeau (born Justin Pierre James Trudeau on December 25, 1971 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada) is a Canadian politician. Justin is the eldest son of Pierre Trudeau, the former Prime Minister of Canada. When Justin was six years old, his parents separated and his father retired from politics. Justin grew up in Montreal, Quebec, attending College Jean-de-Brebeuf. Justin became a prominent figure in Canadian culture in 2000, delivering a eulogy at his father’s funeral. The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation received numerous calls from viewers, begging them to rebroadcast Justin’s speech. After graduating from McGill University with a Bachelor’s in Arts (and after earning a Bachelor’s of Education from University of British Columbia), Justin worked at a French and Math teacher. However, he followed in the family business, becoming involved with the Liberal Party throughout the 2000s. He ran in the 2007 election and secured a position in the Canadian parliament. He was reelected in 2011 and in 2013, the Liberal Party elected him as party leader. In Oct. 2015, Justin and the Liberals defeated Prime Minister Stephen Harper and the Conservatives in a federal election.

Personal Life:
Justin is also the second child in Canadian history to be born when one of his parents was prime minister. Justin first met Sophie Gregoire when they were both children growing up in Montreal. They reconnected in June 2002, when she was a Quebec television personality. They were engaged in Oct. 2004 and married in May 2005. They have three children together: Xavier James, Hadrien and daughter Ella-Grace Margaret.
