Jonah Hill (born Jonah Hill Feldstein in Los Angeles, CA on December 20, 1983) is an American actor, producer and comedian. Jonah grew up in the Cheviot Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles, attending Brentwood School and then Crossroads School. He attended Bard College, The New School and University of Colorado. While in college, Jonah began writing his own plays and performing them at the Black And White bar in the East Village. After befriending Dustin Hoffman’s children, Jonah was invited to audition for a role in I Heart Huckabees. Jonah landed the part and made his film debut. Jonah connected with Judd Apatow, appearing in Judd’s directorial debut The 40-Year-Old Virgin in 2005. Jonah would appear in Judd’s movies Knocked Up, Superbad, Get Him to the Greek, Walk Hard: The Dewy Cox Story, Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Funny People. Jonah debuted a slimmer figure in 2011, having lost over 40 pounds. That year, Jonah received critical praise for his role in Moneyball, even earning both a Golden Globe and Academy Awards nomination for Best Actor In A Supporting Role. While Jonah returned to comedy with movies like 21 Jump Street and This Is The End, he also took on a serious work with a role in Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street.

Jonah’s sister, Elizabeth “beanie” Feldstein, is an actress who appeared in Orange Is The New Black and Neighbors 2. His brother, Jordan Feldstein, manages the band Maroon 5. Jonah dated Jordan Klein from 2008 to 2011. Jonah is Jewish. Jonah’s brother Jordan Feldstein tragically died at the age of 40 on Dec. 23, 2017.
