Jodi Arias

Bio:
Jodi Arias (born July 9, 1980 in Salinas, California) is an Arizona-based photographer, on trial for allegedly murdering her boyfriend Travis Alexander. She attended Yreka Union High School but did not graduate, and later obtained her GED. In 2006, Jodi was baptized a Latter-Day Saint by boyfriend Travis Alexander and then re-located to Mesa, Arizona with him. After about a year of dating Travis Alexander, Jodi split with him and moved back to California in 2007. But after being kicked out of a house by a roommate, Jodi moved back in with Travis. In 2008, Jodi killed Travis, shooting him before stabbing him nearly 30 times. In 2013, Jodi was found guilty for first degree murder. At that time, she was eligible for the death penalty but the jury was unable to come to a unanimous decision. During her second trial in 2014, the jury once again could not come to a unanimous decision whether she should be sentenced to death or to life in prison. On April 13, 2015, Jodi was sentenced to life in prison without parole.

Personal Life:
Jodi is of Mexican, German, and English descent. She has two younger brothers, a younger sister, and one older half-sister.
