Jenny Slate (born Jenny Sarah Slate on March 25, 1982 in Milton, Massachusetts) is an American actress and comedian. She graduated from Columbia University in 2004, then formed the stand-up comedy duo Gabe & Jenny with her classmate Gabe Liedman. Jenny became a commentator for VH1 and took part in a recurring sketch on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon in 2009. She joined Saturday Night Live for one season from 2009-2010, and has appeared on television shows like Girls, Parks & Recreation and Raising Hope. Jenny is the voice and writer behind the viral YouTube video Marcel The Shell With Shoes On, which led to voice acting jobs in movies like Alvin & The Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, Zootopia and The Lorax. She starred in the critically-acclaimed movie Obvious Child, and was a series regular on the first season of FX’s series Married.

Personal Life:
Jenny married Dean Fleischer-Camp, a filmmaker who she collaborated with on Marcel The Shell, in Sept. 2012. However, after almost four years together, it was revealed that they’d split in May 2016, and shortly after, it was reported that Jenny was dating her friend Chris Evans. Sadly, the Gifted co-stars split after 10 months of dating.
