Janel Parrish, 25, (born in Oahu, Hawaii) is an American actress, singer and dancer who stars on ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars. She also starred in Bratz: The Movie in 2007. Janel played Young Cosette in Les Misérables on Broadway, and has appeared on TV shows Heroes, The OC and Zoey 101. She also competed on the 2003 remake of Star Search, and was the lead singer in the girl group Impulse. She is competing on Season 19 of ABC’s Dancing With The Stars, which premiered on Sept. 15, 2014, and was paired with professional dancer Val Chmerkovskiy. The pair came in third place.
Best Known For:
Janel is best known for starring on Pretty Little Liars, as Mona Vanderwaal. Her character, a fan-favorite villain, was killed off of the show on the Season 5 midseason finale, but the actress will remain a series regular, appearing in flashbacks.
Personal Life:
Janel grew up in Hawaii. She is of European and Chinese decent. On October 23, 2017, Janel announced her engagement to longtime boyfriend Chris Long.
