Bio:
Harry Connick Jr. (born Joseph Harry Fowley Connick, Jr. on September 11, 1967 in New Orleans, Louisiana) is an American singer, musician and actor. Harry started to play the keyboard at age three and he began recording with a New Orleans jazz band at age 10. After graduating high school, Harry moved to New York City to study at Hunter College and the Manhattan School of Music. He was discovered by Columbia Records executive, Dr. George Butler, who signed him to a record contract. He released his first album in 1987. He developed a following thanks to extended stays at high profile New York City jazz venues. These performances drew the attention of director Rob Reiner, who asked Harry to provide the soundtrack to the 1989 romantic comedy, When Harry Met Sally. The soundtrack achieved double-platinum and won Harry his first Grammy Award for best Jazz Male Vocal Performance. This breakout success established Harry as a musical force, propelling him to a multi-decade career. In addition to music, Harry has also expanded into acting, with roles in such movies as Hope Floats, The Iron Giant and Dolphin Tale. In 2013, he appeared as a guest judge on American Idol, before joining Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban permanently in 2014.

Personal Life:
Harry married former Victoria’s Secret model Jill Goodacre in 1994. They have three daughters together: Georgia Tatum, Sarah Kate and Charlotte. He is an avid fan of the NFL team, the New Orleans Saints. Harry was at the forefront of the New Orleans relief efforts after Hurricane Katrina, helping to organize the NBC telethon, A Concert For Hurricane Relief.
