Guy Fieri

Bio:
Guy Fieri (born Guy Ramsay Ferry on January 22, 1968 in Columbus, Ohio) is an American restaurateur, author, and television personality. Guy grew up in Ferndale, California, and began his love for food by selling pretzels from his “Awesome Pretzel” cart to finance his Foreign Exchange Student trip to France. While overseas, Guy studied cuisine. When he returned, he worked at the restaurant at Eureka, California’s Red Lion Inn until he went to Las Vegas for college. After graduating with a degree in Hotel Management, he went to work for Stouffer’s, developing restaurant concepts and managing their flagship restaurant. In 1996, he and business partner Steve Gruber opened Johnny Garlic’s, a California pasta grill. From there, he found success, opening multiple other Johnny Garlic’s, as well as Tex Wasabi’s. Guy became a household name after winning the second season of The Next Food Network Star in 2006. He was awarded a six-episode commitment for his own show, Guy’s Big Bite. His second series, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, premiered in 2007. He also hosted Guy Off the Hook, and the NBC game show, Minute To Win It. He also appeared on Ace of Cakes, Diner: Impossible and The Best Thing I Ever Ate. Guy has also written three books, the first two being New York Times bestsellers.

Personal Life:
Guy married his wife, Lori, in 1995. He changed his name from “Ferry” to “Fieri” to honor the original Italian spelling of his family name. He and Lori have two children together, sons Hunter and Ryder. Guy has a distinctive fashion style, including his trademark spiky blonde hairstyle.
