Frank Gifford

Bio:
Frank Gifford (born Francis Newton Gifford in Santa Monica, California on August 16, 1930) was a former American football player, sportscaster and NFL legend. He graduated from University of Southern California in 1952, and was named an All-American athlete while playing football for them. He started his NFL career with the New York Giants. In 1956, he won the MVP award of the NFL. His playing time was cut short after suffering a severe head injury in a tackle during a 1960 game against the Philadelphia Eagles, however he returned to the Giants in 1962. Frank was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1977. After his football career, he became a commentator for games on CBS, and became the play-by-play announcer on ABC’s Monday Night Football. He also served as a reporter on other ABC programs, including coverage of the Olympics.

Personal Life:
Frank Gifford married his wife Kathie Lee Gifford in Oct. 1986. They met while he filled in as a host on Good Morning America. They had two children, son Cody and daughter, Cassidy. Frank was previously married to Maxine Avis Ewart. Together, they had three children, Jeff, Kyle and Victoria, and five grandchildren.
