Evangeline Lilly (born Nicole Evangeline Lilly in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada on August 3, 1979) is a Canadian actress and author. She was discovered by a Ford Modeling Agency agent while walking around Kelowna, British Columbia. Evangeline didn’t pursue the opportunity immediately, but when she finally did, she landed a few commercials and had a few non-speaking roles on shows such as Smallville and Kingdom Hospital. Evangeline finally got her big break when she got the role as Kate Austen on ABC’s Lost, which ran for six seasons. She went on to star in The Hurt Locker and The Hobbit franchise, as well as 2015’s Ant-Man, alongside Paul Rudd.

Evangeline Lilly was married to Canadian hockey player Murray Hone from 2003 to 2004. After they split, she dated ‘Lost’ co-star Dominic Monaghan for five years, ending their relationship in 2009. Not too long after Evangeline started dating Norman Kali, a production assistant she met on the set of ‘Lost.’ She gave birth to their first son, Kahekili Kali, in May 2011 and broke the new of her second pregnancy in June 2015. Evangeline was photographed slimmed down in a bikini on Oct. 21 before officially sharing any information about the second baby.
