Eric Church

Bio:
Eric Church (born Kenneth Eric Church on May 3, 1977 in Granite Falls, North Carolina) is an American country music singer and songwriter. Eric began writing songs at age 13, after buying a guitar. By the time he was a Senior in high school, he was performing at a local bar. After graduating from Appalachian State University with a degree in business, Eric moved to Nashville to pursue his career in music. In 2002, he co-wrote Terri Clark’s 2005 single, “The World Needs a Drink.” He released Sinner Like Me in 2006, and the first three singles from the album cracked the Hot Country Top 20 list. His second album, Carolina, produced his first Top 10 Country single, “Love Your Love The Most.” His third album, Chief, debuted at the top of the Billboard Country Albums and the Billboard 200 in 2011. It earned him a 2012 Grammy Award nomination. In 2012, Chief won him the Country Music Association award for Album of the Year. He was also CMT Artist of the Year. His fourth album, The Outsiders, came out in 2014 and the track, “Give Me Back My Hometown,” was another No. 1 single.

Personal Life:
Eric wears signature aviator sunglasses to prevent the stage lights from drying out his contact glasses. In 2008, Eric married music publisher Katherine Blasingame in Bowling Rock, North Carolina. They welcomed their first son. Boone McCoy Church, in 2011. In 2015, they had a second boy, Tennessee Hawkins Church. Eric is an outspoken user of marijuana.
