Bio:
Elle King (born Tanner Elle Schneider on July 3, 1989 in Los Angeles, California) is an American singer and songwriter. Elle is the daughter of SNL cast member Rob Schneider and model London King. After her parents divorced, her mother married Justin Tesa and they all grew up in southern Ohio. At age 9, Elle’s stepfather gave her a record by The Donnas, starting a love for music. She learned the guitar at age 13, developing an interest in country and bluegrass. As a teen, she lived in New York City and enrolled in the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. RCA Chairman Peter Edge signed Elle to a recording deal. Her debut single, “Good To Be A Man,” was released in 2012. Her first EP came out that year, and the lead track, “Playing For Keeps,” was chosen as a theme for VH1’s Mob Wives Chicago. In Sep. 2014, Elle released “Ex’s & Oh’s,” the lead single off her debut album, Love Stuff. The album was released in Feb. 2015. The sing has reached No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. In addition to music, Elle has acted in small roles in her father’s films Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo and The Benchwarmers

Personal Life:
Elle was influenced by the music of Otis Redding, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Al Green, The Runaways, Blondie and Johnny Cash. She’s also a fan of AC/DC, and has the band’s logo tattooed on her bicep. She has lived in Denmark, Los Angeles and New York City. She currently resides in Bushwick, Brooklyn. She also has worked in a tattoo shop, East Side Ink, in the Lower East Side of NYC.
