Eli Manning (born Elisha Nelson on Jan. 3, 1981 in New Orleans, Louisiana) is an American football player– a quarterback– for NFL team the New York Giants. He is the youngest of three boys. His father, Archie Manning, is a former quarterback, while his older brother, Peyton Manning, is a former quarterback for the Denver Broncos. He attended Isidore Newman School in New Orleans before moving on to the University of Mississippi, where he played college football. He was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in 2004, as the first overall pick in the NFL draft. However, he was instantly traded to the New York Giants, who relinquished a package including Philip Rivers, in order to have Peyton. Peyton holds the Giants’ records for most passing yards, touchdown passes and completed passes in a single career. He also holds the NFL record for fourth-quarter touch down passes in a single season. So far, he has gained the Giants Super Bowl victories in both XLII and XLVI, taking down the New England Patriots in both games. Peyton was named Most Valuable Player in both games, as well, becoming one of only five quarterbacks to gain this title twice.

Peyton proposed to Abby McGrew in 2007. The two had met during college and remained together since. They married in a private ceremony in San Jose del Cabo in Mexico, on April 19, 2008. The couple have three daughters together: Ava Frances, Lucy Thomas, and Caroline Olivia. During the season, they reside in Hoboken, New Jersey.
