DJ Khaled (born Khaled bin Abdul Khaled on November 26, 1975) was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. The rapper grew up in Miami and currently works as a radio host for Miami radio station WEDR. He is the DJ for the hip hop group the Terror Squad and is also the CEO and founder of We the Best Music Group which is part of Cash Money Records. DJ Khaled proposed to fellow rapper Nicki Minaj on MTV with a 10 karat diamond ring from Rafaello & Co., on July 26, 2013. The ring is said to be worth around $500,000.

DJ Khaled publicly proposed to Nicki Minaj on July 26, 2013 on MTV. He professed his love to her in a long speech and then pulled out a $500,000 engagement ring. She has yet to respond and many critics believe that this is just promotion for his upcoming seventh album.
