Dave Chappelle (born David Khari Webber Chappelle in Washington D.C. on August 24, 1973) is an American stand up comedian, screenwriter, actor and producer. He first launched his career in film by starring as Ahchoo in Robin Hood: Men in Tights in 1993. Dave continued to land supporting roles in big movies like The Nutty Professor and Con Air, but his first lead role was in the 1998 comedy flick Half Baked, which he co-authored with Neal Brennan. Dave became a household name in 2003, with his sold out stand-up sets and his sketch-comedy television series Chappelle’s Show. He’s been called the “comic genius of America” by Esquire and Comedy Central ranked him No. 43 in the “100 Greatest Stand-Ups of All Time” in 2009. Dave served as the superstar host for Saturday Night Live on Nov. 12, 2016.
