Claire Danes (born Claire Catherine Danes on April 12, 1979 in Manhattan, New York) is an American actress. She has four Golden Globe Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards and three Emmys. Claire starred as Angela Chase in the television series My So-Called Life. She has also had roles in the films Little Women, Romeo + Juliet and The Hours. Claire received a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame in Sept. 2015. She currently stars in the Showtime series Homeland as Carrie Mathison.

Personal Life:
In 1998, Claire took a break from acting to attend Yale University, but dropped out in 2000 to resume her career. Claire dated Australian singer Ben Lee for six years, and actor Billy Crudup for three years. Claire then met actor Hugh Dancy, and they got engaged in 2009 before marrying later that year. They have one son, Cyrus, who was born in 2012. Claire and her family live in the West Village in NYC. As a philanthropist, Claire supports the charity Afghan Hands and supports Donorschoose.org.

WOW, an actual princess arrived to the 2016 Met Gala when Claire Danes hit the red carpet. The actress literally lit up the night in an illuminated Cinderella-style dress, and we totally cannot get enough of the look. What do you guys think?!
Is that Cinderella?! Nope, it’s just Claire Danes, but she came pretty darn close to resembling an actual princess in her Met Gala ball gown on May 1. Besides the fact that the dress was striking on its own, though, Claire took things to a whole new level…because it lit up, too!

Claire Danes, 36, is speaking out, 12 years later, on her affair with actor, Billy Crudup, which dominated the headlines. Many Homeland fans might not even realize that Claire was embroiled in quite the love triangle when Billy left Weeds actress, Marie-Louise Parker for Claire, 24 at the time, while she was pregnant! It was scandalous but even though Billy denied he left Mary-Louise for Claire, they ended up dating for two years. But Claire says in hindsight she was “just in love” and “needed to explore that,” even if it meant being the other woman.
