Bio:
Chyna (born Joanie Laurer on Dec. 27, 1970 in Rochester, New York), was an American wrestler, reality star, and adult film actress. Chyna rose to fame in the WWF and WWE for being one of the founding members of D-Generation X alongside boyfriend Triple H. She was known as the 9th wonder of the world for her amazing body and athletic skill. She went on to star on VH1’s The Surreal Life in 2005, plus several adult films from 2004-2013. Sadly, Chyna was found dead in her home in Southern California on April 20, 2016.

Personal Life:

Chyna was born in Rochester, NY to parents Janet and Joe Laurer. She and her two siblings had a rough childhood, moving around a lot and having three step fathers and one step mom. Her teen years were also hard. She was sexually assaulted by a teacher, and she became bulimic. After college, she joined the Peace Corp and went to Guatemala. During this time she focused on fitness and began entering competitions. After her wrestling and porn careers, she moved to Japans to live a simple life and teach English. She passed away on April 20 at her home in California.
