Charlie Carver (born Charles Carver Martensen on July 31, 1988 in San Francisco, California) is an American actor. When Charlie was four-years-old, his mother and parents split. He grew up in a small town in Napa Valley. Charlie attended High School at St. Paul’s Boarding School in Concord, New Hampshire, but left at this sophomore year to attend the Interlochen Arts Academy in Interlochen, Michigan. After high school, he enrolled in the University of Southern California in 2012. He also studied acting at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. Charlie made his acting debut by playing Puck in his high school’s production of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. In 2008, he had his breakout when he was cast as Porter Scavo in the ABC television series, Desperate Housewives. He would play the character on 40 episodes, earning him a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. From there, Charlie appeared in movies Fred 3: Camp Fred, Underdogs, Bad Asses, I Am Michael (with James Franco) and on the television series like Teen Wolf, The League and The Leftovers.

Personal Life:
Charlie came out as gay on his official Instagram account in Jan. 2016. He has a twin brother, Max Carver, who is also an actor. Max played Preston Scavo on Desperate Housewives and together, he and Charlie played twin werewolves on Teen Wolf. Charlie and Max have separate birthdays, despite being twins: Charlie was born on July 31, seven minutes before Max was born on Aug. 1.
