Bio:
Caitlyn Jenner (born William Bruce Jenner, on October 28, 1949 in Tarrytown, New York) is a former Olympic track and field competitor, formerly known as Bruce Jenner. After graduating from Newtown High School in Connecticut, Caitlyn attended Graceland College on a Football Scholarship. A knee injury ended her football career, but her athletic aspirations made her switch to the decathlon. Caitlyn’s natural talent at track at field led to her beginning an Olympic career. She finished 10th in the 1972 Summer Games in Germany, eventually winning the Decathlon Gold medal at the 1976 Olympics in Montreal, Canada. After the Olympics, Caitlyn made an iconic appearance on the cover of Wheaties breakfast cereal boxes and was a spokesperson for the brand for several years. Since 2007, Caitlyn has starred in the reality television show Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Always aware she was truly a woman, Caitlyn initially began transitioning in the late 1980s, but stopped due to fear over the public’s reaction and for the sake of her family. Caitlyn confirmed that she was resuming her transition from male to female in an April 2015 20/20 interview with Diane Sawyer. She made her official debut on the cover of the June 2015 issue of Vanity Fair.
