Bio:
Angelica Hale (born July 31, 2007 in Atlanta, Georgia) is an American singer and a finalist on Season 12 of America’s Got Talent. In her first audition, Angelica stunned with Audra McDonald‘s “Rise Up,” and received four yes’s from the judges. She sang “Girl On Fire” by Alicia Keys in the Judge Cuts round and received guest judge Chris Hardwick‘s Golden Buzzer, sending her straight through to the live show. In the Quarterfinal, Angelica sang Zedd‘s “Clarity” and received enough votes to go to the semifinals. In the semis, Angelica ended the episode with a bang, singing a stripped down version of David Guetta‘s “Without You.” She was voted through to the AGT finals and it came down to her and Darci Lynne in the top 2. Darci took home top prize, but Angelica will still open for Darci during her Vegas show!

Personal Life:
Angelica had a number of health issues when she was growing up. At the age of 4, she contracted an aggressive form a strep, which landed her in the hospital. Her strep turned into double pneumonia and she went septic. Angelica was put on a ventilator and underwent multiple blood transfusions and a kidney transplant. Angelica’s mom, Eva, donated her kidney to her daughter in 2013 when Angelica was just 6 years old. Although she was in kidney failure and incredibly sick, Angelica took up singing lessons and performed on stage for the first time singing “Reflection” to a few hundred people. Since her transplant, Angelica has been healthy and pursuing her singing career.
