Anderson .Paak (born Brandon Paak Anderson in Oxnard, California on Feb. 8, 1986) is a Grammy-nominated rapper and musician. Anderson began his music career at the tender age of 14 years old, producing music from his home. It wasn’t until 2011 that he started gaining attention however. After losing his job on a marijuana farm, Anderson fell into a very low part in his life, but he still managed to create music, releasing his first project O.B.E. Vol I in 2012. During this time, he also was employed as a drummer for American Idol contestant Haley Reinhart. At the time, he went by the name Breezy Lovejoy, but quickly changed to his current moniker just before her released his 2014 debut album Venice. His album earned him nationwide recognition and also flagged the attention of Beyonce and Dr. Dre. Dre particularly took a liking to the newcomer, and enlisted his help for six songs on his album Compton in 2015. Anderon released his highly acclaimed, second studio album Malibu in Jan. 2016. And only two weeks later, the rapper announced that he had signed to Dr. Dre’s music label Aftermath Entertainment. Throughout his career, Anderson has been nominated for two Grammys and one BET Award.

Personal Life:
Anderson .Paak has been married twice. He met his first wife while he was performing at his family’s church. After a few years, they reportedly divorced. He met his second wife while teaching at a music school. She was one of his students. Anderson and his second wife have one child together, a son named Soul Rasheed.
