Adam Sandler

Bio:
Adam Sandler  (born Adam Richard Sandler on September 9, 1966 in Brooklyn, New York) is an American actor and comedian. Adam was raised in Manchester, New Hampshire. He decided at age 17 that he wanted a career in comedy. Adam enrolled at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and graduated in 1988. His early roles included a regular spot on MTV’s game show, Remote Control. His first film appearance was 1989’s Going Overboard. The next year, Adam joined the cast of Saturday Night Live, launching his career. Adam appeared in the movies Coneheads and Airheads, but his breakout came in 1995’s Billy Madison. He followed it with Happy Gilmore, The Wedding Singer and The Waterboy. Though financially successful, Adam’s movies didn’t receive much critical praise. Adam earned the critics’ respect with roles in Punch-Drunk Love, Spanglish and Reign Over Me. Adam returned to comedy in 2007 with I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry and followed it with Funny People, Grown Ups and Blended, Adam’s third romantic comedy with Drew Barrymore. Adam has lent his voice to the role of Dracula in the Hotel Transylvania movies. As a musician, Adam has provided a handful of memorable comedy-songs, including “The Chanukah Song” and “The Thanksgiving Song.”
