Winona Ryder (born Winona Laura Horowitz near Winona, Minnesota on October 29, 1971) is an American actress. She began her illustrious film career in 1986, landing her first role in Lucas. Winona became a household name when she portrayed goth girl, Lydia Deetz, in the 1988 classic Beetlejuice. She quickly became the “It” girl in the 1990s, starring in several films including Edward Scissorhands and Bram Stocker‘s Dracula. Winona nabbed her first Golden Globe nomination for Mermaids. She later expanded her resume with executive producing credits for the movie Girl, Interrupted, which she also starred in. The actress even scored a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2000. Winona has continued to land big roles, acting in Mr. Deeds alongside Adam Sandler, and also in Black Swan, alongside Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis. She also plays Joyce in the mystery/thriller Netflix series Stranger Things.

Winona Ryder is known for her long-lasting film career. She also received a lot of negative public attention for being arrested in December 12, 2001, when she shoplifted $5,500 worth of clothing and accessories from Saks Fifth Avenue.

Winona has dated several Hollywood A-listers including Johnny Depp, from 1989-1993, Dave Pirner, from 1996-1996, Matt Damon from 1997-2000 and Blake Soper from 2007-2008. Scott Mackinlay Hahn is her current boyfriend and the pair has been dating since 2011.
