Uh oh, Gossip Girl‘s leading man was arrested for smoking the reefer while home visiting family!

Chace Crawford has been arrested! The Texas native, 24, was visiting his hometown of Plano, TX June 3, when he was caught with about 2 ounces of marijuana in the parking lot of The Shops at Legacy, a shopping mall. A source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that Chace was, contrary to earlier reports, alone and sitting in the driver’s seat of a friend’s 2003 Nissan 350Z when an officer approached him during a routine check. “Chace was rolling a joint,” says our source. “He had a little under 2 ounces of marijuana in a plastic baggy sitting in clear view on the dashboard.”

Brittany’s fiancé says the pills were prescribed to her mother.

UPDATE: Brittany’s fiancé Simon Monjack tells RadarOnline.com he is furious over the report that claims Brittany overdosed on Vicodin, which was allegedly prescribed to her by an unknown physician. He says the pills in question were prescribed to Brittany’s mother, Sharon Murphy, who is a cancer survivor. Simon says the “outrageous” claim is having a negative impact on Sharon’s health and that she is considering taking legal action against the initial publisher of the report. Read more
