The couple that jogs together. Shia LaBeouf and Margaret Qualley are going strong just weeks after the actor’s ex-girlfriend, FKA twigs accused him of “reckless abuse” and emotional distress in a lawsuit filed on December 11. The Transformers actor, 34, and the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actress, 26, were photographed on a run together in his Pasadena, CA neighborhood on Monday morning. They coordinated in matching baseball caps, pullovers and dark leggings for their joint workout.
The couple’s latest outing is one of a few times they’ve been seen together since Shia made headlines over his ex’s lawsuit against him. On December 19, Shia and Margaret — the daughter of actress Andie MacDowell — were photographed kissing when he picked her up from the Los Angeles International Airport. The pair also enjoyed a post-Christmas Day hike in LA.
It’s unclear when Shia and Margaret began dating, although it’s rumored that sparks flew when the duo starred in the music video for Love Me Like You Hate Me — a track by Margaret’s sister, Rainey Qualley, who goes by the artist name, Rainsford. Margaret was previously linked to Saturday Night Live comedian, Pete Davidson, 27.
Despite the actor’s legal woes, Margaret appears to be sticking by her man. In the December 11 lawsuit — filed by FKA twigs, 32, (born Tahliah Debrett Barnett) in a Los Angeles Superior Court — the singer recounted a specific alleged incident “just after Valentine’s Day 2019″ where Shia was driving recklessly while she was in the car. FKA claimed when she “begged” to be let out of the vehicle, Shia allegedly assaulted her. (HollywoodLife obtained the aforementioned court documents.)
Following news of the lawsuit, HollywoodLife reached out to reps for both Shia and FKA for comment. FKA’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, shared the following statement with us: “Shia LaBoeuf has abused Ms. Barnett, Ms.Pho and others. We tried to resolve this matter privately on the condition that Mr. LaBeouf agree to receive meaningful and consistent psychological treatment. Since he was unwilling to agree to get appropriate help, Ms. Barnett filed this suit to prevent others from unknowingly suffering similar abuse by him.” HollywoodLife has yet to hear back from Shia’s rep(s).
