It was just announced on her show The Mix that Zonnique Pullins, 24, gave birth to her baby daughter, and everyone is over the moon! The new mom spoke on the HollywoodLife Podcast just weeks before welcoming her baby, and dished on how she was preparing for motherhood and even teased her new daughter’s name. “I feel like I’ve been nervous all my life to have a baby and be in labor. I feel like labor is so scary,” she admitted on the HL podcast. “Now that I’m here, I’m definitely really nervous. Everyone is like, ‘it’s not that bad, you know?’ But you never know. Everyone’s so different.”
This is Zonnique’s first baby and her boyfriend, Bandhunta Izzy’s (real name Israel James) third. “He and I didn’t do any classes or anything to prepare — he actually has two kids. So he feels like he’s a pro,” she explained. “My family hustled so they get to do little special stuff and they closed down two classes that I got to do and I did it with my best friend Reginae, my baby’s God Ma. We did the breathing class together.”
When it comes to her baby girl’s name, which has yet to be announced, Zonnique revealed that it started as a “collaboration,” but then her mom, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, and Izzy took over. “We were kind of going back and forth with the name with my family and my boyfriend, and I was like, ‘I’m just gonna let you pick it,’ because everyone was just wanting to be over the name. And he picked the name that my mom likes. So now my mom is buying everything around her name, and I’m just letting her do her thing,” she laughed. “The name I came up with was a collaboration of both of our names put together, because my name is my mom and dad’s names put together. We still want to use that, but as her middle name.”
Zonnique added that she hoped the birth would be filmed for T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle, but due to COVID protocols, she wasn’t sure. “I think I’ll hopefully have at least one person can be in there,” she said. “We’re trying to figure out how to go around it. I told them they could set up cameras. I would like to have it on film.”
