Wrestling super star and Total Divas cast member Carmella, 29, is finding her own stride in the business world thanks to her friends and colleagues, Nikki Bella and Brie Bella, 36. “I’m so inspired by them because I feel like they’re the first women who crossed over from the WWE to main stream pop culture,” Carmella told HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY during an episode of TVTalk on Instagram Live, as she launches her own wine, Capo Cagna. “And not only pop culture, but they’re business women. They’re entrepreneurs. I’m so inspired by them.”
It’s no wonder Carmella looks up to the twins! Although Nikki & Bella aren’t wrestling at the moment, they’ve got a lot on their plates to draw inspiration from. Between their Birdee Bee clothing line, Nicole + Brizee beauty products and their wine line, Bella Radici, the new moms are pretty busy!
When Carmella was first toying with the idea of launching the product, the sisters were nothing but supportive, despite having their own alcohol brand. “They weren’t like, “Oh, she has her wine, she’s our competition.” Carmella explained. “They were like, “Come see what it’s like! Come mingle! Come meet everyone”, and they told me to bring my wine. It was so awesome that they let me do that and it opened my eyes to the wine industry in general which is really cool.”
Carmella and the twins all appeared together on E!’s hit reality wrestling show, Total Divas. Fans are waiting to see what’s going on with a potential season 10 of the series, and Carmella is in the same boat. “Honestly, I wish I knew,” Carmella added. “And I’m not just saying that. I really wish I knew, but obviously right now with everything happening, I don’t know what’s happening. I know we put everything on pause with season 9. I would love to have another season.”
In the meantime, Carmella’s focused on learning more about wine with Capo Cagna, which has a powerful meaning behind it. “More than anything, I really wanted to put out the brand, which is Capo Cagna, which means “boss bitch” in Italian,” Carmella, who also co-hosts the “Bare with Us” podcast with WWE commentator boyfriend, Corey Graves, 36, shared. “I’ve just been learning and growing and trying to figure it out. I’m doing it! I grew up in a big, Italian family, so wine was always a part of our Sunday dinner ritual. Even as a kid, we always had a glass of red wine with our dinner. I don’t know anything about the wine industry. It’s been 3 years in the making. It’s been an awesome journey.”
