Family time is the best time! Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik will remain at her mother Yolanda Hadid‘s farm in Pennsylvania this holiday season, a source close to the supermodel told HollywoodLife, exclusively. The new parents, who spent Gigi’s entire pregnancy at the farm, are excited to show their daughter a traditional Hadid holiday.
“Gigi plans on celebrating the holidays with Zayn at her mom’s farm in PA. It’s perfect because his property is right there as well, and they all love being in one place together,” the source said, explaining that the family finds Pennsylvania “to be so peaceful and serene.” Why? — “They’re surrounded by animals and nature, and it just allows them to get away from it all. The farm is their family’s happy place, it’s where they typically gather to celebrate holidays, birthdays, and special occasions,” the insider explained.
Just last week, Zayn’s mother Trisha Malik touched down in PA from the UK to finally meet her granddaughter. On November 18, Trisha took to her Instagram, which has over 500k followers, to share a few snaps of Gigi’s cooking. Upon her arrival, the family celebrated Trisha’s 51st “fabulous” birthday with a homemade diamond cake, courtesy of the model.
“Gigi and Yolanda have also been enjoying Zayn’s mom, Trisha’s company,” the source said. “Yolanda and Trisha can’t get enough of Gigi and Zayn’s precious little girl and it makes Gigi’s heart melt seeing both her daughter’s grandmothers fussing over her. The ladies also enjoyed a day of shopping together and have just been relaxing a bit,” the source explained, adding that Gigi “feels content and couldn’t be happier that both families are able to come together during this time.”
A second source went on to explain why Gigi feels “so lucky” to be able to retreat to Pennsylvania, especially during the holidays. “She feels grateful to have her city life and her country life. She really has the best of both worlds,” the second insider said in reference to the model’s newly renovated New York City apartment.
“Right now, life on the farm in Pennsylvania is working the best for her. Getting adjusted to life as a new mom with her mom right there to help with everything is such a blessing,” the source explained, noting that Yolanda is “the queen of the holidays” and “does everything so perfectly” when it comes to decorating and cooking. “This is always Gigi’s favorite time of year and now that she’s has her baby girl, it’s the best one yet,” the source added.
Gigi and Zayn welcomed their first child together in September — five months after Gigi confirmed her pregnancy during a virtual appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon in April. Gigi called in to the show from the farm, where she’s been quarantined with Zayn amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
