Even during an intense workout, Vanessa Hudgens managed to dance. The High School Musical alum, 31, returned to her go-to Dogpound gym on Tuesday, after taking a month off, and it was like she never left. Vanessa and her trainer, Julia Brown broke a sweat while they performed a few moves from Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion‘s “WAP” music video.
Vanessa took to Instagram to share three separate clips from her workout, which doubled as a dance class. The first clip showed the Bad Boys For Life actress and the Dogpound trainer wearing masks while they did banded jumps. In the second video, the pair paused their ankle-weight circuit, which took place on a set of mats, for a quick “WAP” dance session. However, they put their own spin on the sultry choreography to Drake‘s 2018 hit, “Look Alive.” Fans may recall when Vanessa first performed the “WAP” dance with singer GG Magree (née Georgia Magree) on TikTok in September.
The third and final clip showed Vanessa and Julia doing separate works. The actress performed weighted squats while standing on two benches. Meanwhile, Julia did a body-weight circuit on the floor. While the video started out serious, by the time it was over, the two were grinding to SZA‘s “Love Galore.”
“Annnnd I’m back to @dogpound I haven’t worked out in almost a month so ya girl was struggling. Buuuut only way to get back to it is to do it,” Vanessa captioned her post, adding that she was (jokingly) “very upset” with Julia for “the jumping” they did in the first video.
Although her dance moves stole the show, Vanessa’s workout attire caught our eye. The Princess Switch: Switched Again star donned a bright yellow and black snakeskin onesie leotard. She even matched her hair scrunchie to her gym look.
Vanessa has been working out with Julia for quite some time, and the two are often photographed together after their sessions in LA. Vanessa is one of many celebs, including Lala Anthony and Ashley Graham, who enjoy getting their sweat on at Dogpound gym.
