Kate Middleton, 35, obviously has the art of dressing for a garden party totally down — and it shows! The Duchess stepped out at Buckingham Palace on May 16 for the event in which 8,000 guests flocked to the palace in a quintessential spring look as she sported a baby blue coat dress by Christopher Kane — and it actually wasn’t the first time she sported the chic style! The Duchess recycled the look for a third time, putting a new spin on the outfit for the spring event, and we loved it.
The first time Kate sported the silhouette was in 2012, for the Olympics Opening Ceremony in London. The next time she rocked the look was at the Order of the Garter service on June 16, 2014, at Winsor Castle, where she supported her hubby, Prince William, as he participated in the annual event. The first time Kate sported the pretty, pastel look she wore her hair down in her signature blowout as the bouncy curls framed her face. The second time, she paired it with a matching fascinator by Lock & Co. and wore her hair to one side. For her most recent outing, she wore her hair back and sported the same fascinator she wore with the outfit in 2014, polishing off the get-up with nude pumps.
Given the classic, timeless silhouette of the ensemble, it isn’t surprising to see Kate wear it once again — it was an easy choice! We should also mention that Kate is gearing up for her younger sister, Pippa Middleton‘s, wedding on May 20, so she obviously has a lot on her mind with the big day mere days away — and we can’t wait to see what Kate wears for the upcoming nuptials.
