Ashley Nicole Roberts and Philip Wheeler, 32, are officially married! The lovebirds said ‘I do’ on the beach in Curacao on Mother’s Day, May 14, Us Weekly confirms. The site reports that around 100 guests attended the ceremony, and that vows were exchanged at sunset. Ashley donned two different looks throughout the day, too: For the ceremony, it was a Milady mermaid dress covered with embellishments, followed by a Lane Bernisha dress for the reception.
Ahead of the wedding, the gorgeous bride dished all about why she chose the Caribbean island for her nuptials, and revealed what could be expected on the big day. “I really wanted to pick a place that no one I knew had been before,” she explained to Us. “So it would be an experience, not just for me and Phil, but for everyone. The island is close to Aruba, but closer to Venezuela and South America and it’s only a two-hour flight form Miami. It was perfect.” She also described the wedding as “formal beach glamour,” with “bling, candles everywhere and gold touches.”
Ashley and Philip star on the E! spinoff series, WAGS Miami, and their engagement actually aired on the Nov. 6 episode of the show. Philip got down on one knee at the pool of the Versace Mansion after a romantic dinner and surprised a stunned Ashley with a gorgeous diamond ring, which she happily accepted. Season 2 will premiere on June 29, so hopefully we’ll get to see footage from the wedding before the season wraps!
