At this point, Mick Jagger, 73, is a total pro when it comes to being a dad. And adding to his brood for the eighth time, Mick and his 29-year-old girlfriend Melanie Hamrick, welcomed their first child together on Dec. 8 in NYC, HollywoodLife.com can confirm. Melanie gave birth to a little BOY, and they are beyond thrilled about their new addition!

“Melanie Hamrick and Mick Jagger’s son was born today in New York and they are both delighted,” a statement HollywoodLife.com obtained from their publicist read. “Mick was at the hospital for the arrival. Mother and baby are doing well and we request that the media respect their privacy at this time.” Aw!

The news of Melanie’s pregnancy broke back in July with a source telling The Sun that Melanie is very excited about the baby. “She knows what a great relationship Mick has with all of his children and can’t wait for him to be a dad again,” the publication wrote.

After all, Mick is already a father to seven kids — Karis, 45, Jade, 44, Elizabeth, 32, James, 30, Georgia, 24, Gabriel, 18, and Lucas, 17. As for him and Melanie, the rockstar has been with the pro dancer since 2014. However, at the time her pregnancy was announced, it was revealed that Melanie will reportedly NOT live in London with Mick. Instead, she was expected to move to Los Angeles or Connecticut to be near her family.

Fans of course had many opinions about Mick becoming a dad again at such an advanced age, taking to Twitter to express their hilarious congratulations or their blatant disapproval. “What teenager wants an 85yr old father? As if #MickJagger wasn’t embarrassing enough,” one social media user Tweeted soon after hearing the pregnancy news over the summer.

Another wrote, “Saw that Mick Jagger is trending. Thought he might be dead until I realized Mick Jagger is immortal.” Congrats again to Melanie and Mick on their precious bundle of joy!
