Unfortunately, nothing more is known at this time, but Florence will sorely be missed. Obviously, she’s best known for her famous sitcom role — she starred on The Brady Bunch for five years, and never missed an episode. She also appeared as Carol Brady in the following spinoffs: The Brady Bunch Variety Hour, The Brady Girls Get Married, The Brady Brides, The Bradys and The Brady Bunch Movie.
Florence also appeared in a number of other projects throughout her career, including The Love Boat, Murder, She Wrote, and Season 11 of Dancing with the Stars. Furthermore, she has hosted Retirement Living TV’s The Florence Henderson Show since 2008. She was also given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1996.
Florence was most recently seen in the audience at the finale of Dancing With the Stars on Monday, November 21.
Florence was widowed at the time of her death. In 1987, she married Dr. John George Kappas, and remained so until the he died in September 2002. The actress is survived by her four children… as well as her six TV children. Maureen McCormick, who played Florence’s TV daughter, Marsha Brady, on The Brady Bunch, posted a heartfelt message on Twitter after learning about the actress’ death. See it below.
