Because of her age, Janet Jackson, 50, is automatically having what’s considered a high-risk pregnancy with her first child. Because of this, her doctors have allegedly pushed her to have a cesarean section in a hospital as her safest option. Janet’s family, including husband Wissam Al Mana, 41, are reportedly pleading with the singer to listen to her doctors!
But Janet’s allegedly insisting on a home birth, because she’s plain freaked out about having her baby. She wants to do what feels comfortable, and that apparently means no hospitals! Is there anything Wissam can do to change his wife’s mind?
“Janet is insisting on a water birth at home, with the help of a midwife,” a source told OK! Magazine. “She’s very nervous and thinks being in her own home with help her relax. Not to mention the privacy factor of delivering at home, which is huge for her. She just wants the delivery to go as smoothly as possible.”
“Her family is urging her to give birth at a hospital, but she’s yet to give into the idea,” the source said. “Wissam can usually get through to her, so hopefully he can make her see that it would be best for both the baby and Janet herself.”
This is such a scary situation! You have to feel for both Janet, and for Wissam. Her pregnancy has been so high-risk, that she had to postpone her Unbreakable World Tour in April because of “doctors’ orders to rest up.” At one point, the source told the mag, doctors out her on strict bed rest. Now it’s up to Janet to decide how to give birth!
