When asked at Quantico’s NYC PaleyFest event if we were going to learn what happened between Alex and Ryan in the future, Josh Safran told HollywoodLife.com: “Yes, but I will say that it’s not the relationship from season one. It’s not contentious. It had to be. The breakup had to happen. So we’ll find out.”

What a cryptic answer! In the present, Alex and Ryan are faking their breakup at The Farm, so the rest of the recruits don’t know what they’re really up to. Could that be the case in the future? That would be one hell of a twist!
HollywoodLife.com also talked with Priyanka Chopra, 34, who told us that we’re going to get answers about Ralex sooner rather than later. “You’re going to find out as you go along why that happen,” she said. “Also, it’ll be known way before the finale, so that’ll be a good thing.”
Earlier in the season, Priyanka said Ryan and Alex’s storyline would be “heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time.” There’s nothing heartwarming at all about an actual Ralex breakup (been there, done that), so maybe they have a big trick up their sleeve!
Priyanka also teased that fans are going to see an even more “badass” Alex as the season goes on. Now that she’s infiltrated the CLF, she’s in more danger than ever. But Alex always stays calm, cool and collected. Expect to see more familiar faces underneath the terrorists’ clothing. Quantico airs Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
