No, this is not a joke. The Degrassi reunion that we’ve been dreaming about is happening. The Degrassi: The Next Generation cast is coming back together for an episode. The big news was revealed in a super cute Facebook video on July 15, where the OGs teased their return.
Lauren Collins (Paige), Shane Kippel (Spinner), Jake Epstein (Craig), Miriam McDonald (Emma), Adamo Ruggiero (Marco), Sarah Barrable-Tishauer (Liberty), Jamie Johnston (Peter), Raymond Ablack (Sav) and Charlotte Arnold (Holly J. Sinclair) are among the beloved cast members returning. The video features the cast on the set of their old stomping grounds. They all say it’s reunion episode that’s not to be missed.
It looks like Jimmy, played by Aubrey Graham a.k.a. Drake, won’t be featured in the reunion episode since he’s not in the announcement video. Cassie Steele (Manny), Daniel Clark (Sean), Melissa McIntyre (Ashley) and Stacey Farber (Ellie) are also not featured in the preview.
This reunion is too good to be true! These cast members haven’t been onscreen together in years. They’ve all grown up so much! (Anyone else swooning over how hot Craig looks now? He just keeps on getting better looking!)
The hit Canadian show ran from 2001 to 2015, before heading to Netflix as Degrassi: Next Class. The epic reunion, in honor of Degrassi’s 500th episode, will air July 22 on Netflix. This is going to be the best throwback ever. Stay tuned — we’ll have a full rundown of what goes down in the episode!
