The slave owners were destroying Meereen, and Daenerys watched in horror. Tyrion tried to assure her it wasn’t bad as it seemed, but she was not having it. Meereen’s rebirth without slavery had infuriated the masters. Daenerys told Tyrion she was going to kill the masters and burn their cities to the ground.
Tyrion was quick to remind Dany of her father’s evil ways. Despite different circumstances, Daenerys’ situation was not that different from her father’s all those years ago. In her father’s case, Jaime ended up putting a sword through his back to save King’s Landing. To not repeat the past, Tyrion suggested an alternative.
Initially, the masters thought Dany was going to surrender, but it was the other way around. “My reign has just begun,” she stated, before her dragons showed up and took her away. While airborne, she witnessed all of the destruction.

Before leaving, she ordered that one of the masters had to die. One was willing to sacrifice himself, but Grey Worm killed the other two instead. The one left alive got a second chance, and Tyrion reminded him of how lucky he was.
The Sons of the Harpy were murdering innocent people, but the Dothraki and Daario arrived to stop them. Daario literally decapitated a Harpy member and it was AWESOME. Daenerys uttered “Dracarys,” and her dragons burned the slavers’ army and their ships. BYE, FELICIA.
The Greyjoys Meet A Targaryen
Later, Theon and Yara ended up at Daenerys’ feet. There had been a number of years since Tyrion had seen Theon, but Tyrion had remembered how Theon had once treated him. The Greyjoy siblings offered Dany 100 ships and warned her about Euron.
They didn’t want to be on Dany’s bad side. Theon and Yara just wanted Euron to die and for Daenerys to leave the Iron Islands alone after she ruled over the Seven Kingdoms. Khaleesi had a few demands of her own, and Yara agreed to them. They shook hands. I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
‘You’re Going To Die Tomorrow’
Jon Snow and Sansa came face-to-face with Ramsay before the big battle. Ramsay told Jon Snow that if he surrendered, he would pardon him. He truly believed that the Stark army would be slaughtered next to his men.
Jon Snow agreed that there didn’t need to be a battle. They could settle this the old fashioned way — by going one-on-one. Ramsay did NOT want to go that route. He was being a total p*ssy, and Jon Snow made sure he knew it. Ramsay tossed the head of Rickon’s direwolf in front of them. At that point, Sansa was fifty shades of DONE.
“You’re going to die tomorrow, Lord Bolton. Sleep well,” she said, before riding off like a badass. Sansa’s statement just pissed Ramsay off more. Ramsay warned them that his dogs had not eaten for seven days, and he was looking forward to watching his canines eat Jon Snow and his crew alive.
Never Doubt Sansa
After that brief and tense meeting, Jon Snow, Davos and Tormund discussed their battle strategy. It was essential that Ramsay’s army charged at them first. They thought they had it all figured out, but Sansa didn’t think so. “I know how he likes to hurt people,” Sansa told Jon. She was pissed that Jon never asked for her insight. After all, she had lived with Ramsay.
Sansa knew Ramsay was manipulative and smart. He wouldn’t fall easily into a trap. Jon Snow swore he’d fought against worse than Ramsay. He wanted to hear how they could get Rickon back. Sansa believed there was no way that was going to happen. Rickon was a bigger claim to Ramsay’s title than Jon Snow or Sansa. He wouldn’t be alive for long.
Sansa was worried about their army. In her eyes, they didn’t have enough men to make a dent in Ramsay’s army, but her brother had faith. She warned him that she wouldn’t go back to Winterfell alive if Ramsay won. “I wont ever let him touch you again,” he told Sansa. “I’ll protect you, I promise.” A stone cold Sansa replied, “No one can protect me.”
Jon Snow made a point to see Melisandre before the battle. He ordered her to not bring him back to life if he died fighting. Melisandre admitted she didn’t serve him, she served the Lord of Light. She would have to try. Thank god. Meanwhile, Davos was doing some deep thinking alone when he came upon Shireen’s wooden deer — charred from the fire that killed her — in the snow. Talk about a sign.
The Battle Of The Bastards
The moment we had been waiting all season for finally arrived — the battle of the bastards. Jon Snow’s army was ready. Ramsay’s army was ready. When Ramsay arrived, he was pulling Rickon with a rope. He held up his knife, and Jon Snow got off his horse.
He freed Rickon and told him to run to his brother. Then Ramsay grabbed his arrow. Rickon ran, and Jon Snow got back on his horse. Ramsay missed multiple times, before hitting Rickon with an arrow straight through the chest. Jon Snow had been so close to saving Rickon. So close.
Tormund knew that it was pointless to try and convince Jon Snow to hold back at this point. Ramsay had played JS good. Jon Snow, atop his horse, stormed toward his foe. The arrows of Ramsay’s army claimed Jon’s horse, and Jon came crashing down. He pulled out his sword, ready to fight. Suddenly, his army was behind him.
Jon Snow was right in the thick of the fight. He killed countless men of the Bolton army with ease. He was covered in the blood of other men. The look in his eye was pure fearlessness. He’d died once, and he wasn’t afraid to die again.
The men started to pile up. Davos was tired of holding back. The rest of the Stark army charged on. Tormund found Jon in the midst of the battle. But suddenly, Jon Snow and his men were surrounded on all sides. Ramsay’s army was closing in on them. Jon Snow, Tormund and the rest of them would not be deterred, even though they were clearly losing the fight.
Jon Snow found himself suffocating. Men were standing on top of him. He couldn’t move. He could feel the darkness closing in on him. He rose from the pile of men breathless and lost. Suddenly and in the most epic way possible, Littlefinger’s army arrived and saved them all. That is why I love Littlefinger.
Sansa stood by Littlefinger’s side and watched as the knights of the Vale pummeled Ramsay’s men. That was his way of saying sorry. Ramsay was SHOCKED. Jon Snow really wanted a fight with him now. But being the coward he is, Ramsay ran back to Winterfell. Jon Snow went after him. The wildling Giant tore down the doors of Winterfell. Ramsay put an arrow through his eye. RIP, Giant.
Now it was just Ramsay and Jon in Winterfell. Jon Snow got his hands on Ramsay and beat him to a bloody pulp. Sansa showed up before Jon could finish the job. The Starks regained Winterfell again. Order was finally restored.
Sansa asked Jon where he had taken Ramsay. Somehow he was still alive. But Sansa wanted to see Ramsay die. She told him that “all memory” of Ramsay would soon disappear. But Ramsay’s last words should have us all running scared. “I’m part of you now,” he told her. Is Sansa pregnant?!
Then his dog started growling. “My hounds will never harm me,” he believed. It was the ultimate karma. After being starved for seven days, Ramsay’s dog bit his face right off! Sansa watched it all go down with the biggest smile on her face.
