We all watched Lacy Faddoul say “I do” to Marcus Grodd on the Aug. 1 premiere of Bachelor In Paradise. Naturally, it was in Mexico, but we still assumed they were really married — and apparently we were wrong. In a new interview, Marcus, 27, is revealing all.
Following their vows, Marcus headed to basic training as a Marin and for three months, they did the long distance relationship. They were set to married when he returned –“when we came back, we were supposed to start the paperwork, but she stalled” — but he found out that she had been on “lunch dates and coffee dates with other guys,” he told Life & Style magazine. They seemed to be drifting but during the holidays, they bonded again. “It seemed like we both wanted to move forward.” That was until January, when he found texts of her flirting with other guys.
Two months ago, in March, they were to dinner and then, she was gone. “It feels like she’s a runaway bride. We had this fantastic relationship, and then it totally vanished. It was like she ran away,” he said. “There wasn’t ever a conversation about a breakup. She never said,’ We’;re done.’ But her actions have proved that we are.” Since then, she has cut off all communication with him.
The strangest thing about all of this is probably the fact that their wedding was never official. Chris Harrison and both Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert, who are now married as well, were both there. However, during #Janner’s wedding, Marcus and Lacy were not there.
After the news broke that Marcus and Lacy were never married, fans started asking Tanner and Jade if their wedding was real. “Yes, we’re legally married. @ttolbert05 is stuck with me! 😉 Although, I do respect the choices of others. 🙌 ,” Jade tweeted.
HollywoodLifers, are you shocked to hear they’re done? Do you think they should return (separately of course) to Paradise?
