When is The Preakness Stakes?
The big race is held at the same time every year. It will take place on May 21, 2016 at 6:45 p.m. EST. But we suggest you tune in a little early, we’re sure there will be a pre-race broadcast to get you pumped up!
Where is the big race?
Hopefully you’re already located on the east coast! If not, you may want to start heading there like right now. The Preakness is held at the Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland.
Who is in the race?
The epic race will feature 11 horses and their jockeys.The 2016 Preakness Stakes field will be led by Kentucky Derby champion and undefeated star Nyquist. He is looking to secure the second leg of this year’s Triple Crown. Among Kentucky Derby runners, only Exaggerator and Lani have been confirmed to run at the Preakness. How do you watch the race?
The Preakness Stakes will be broadcast on television on NBC beginning at 6:45 PM EST. If you can’t be at the actual race in Baltimore, the second best way to watch it is on TV from your couch. Don’t forget the snacks and beverages!
