Harry Styles is apparently struggling to get used to his new hairdo! The 22-year-old One Direction heartthrob hasn’t even unveiled his new short hair to fans, and that may be because he’s still trying to come to terms with his chopped ‘do himself. It was no secret that he loved his flowing long hair, but what’s making Harry miss his old hairstyle most? We have the inside scoop!
“He loves having long locks, and it goes with his rock and roll image he likes to portray,” an insider revealed to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “It just shows how far he’s willing to go to make a movie career for himself.”
As shocking as it was for fans to hear that Harry had chopped off his famously long locks after he shared a picture on Instagram on May 6, it was quickly determined that he had cut his hair for his upcoming role in Christopher Nolan‘s Dunkirk. Because it’s a World War II film, Harry wasn’t going to be able to have long hair in order to play a soldier in the movie. As much as he wanted to try his hand at acting, though, it sounds like he’s totally missing his rockstar image now!
While Harry may have a little regret in cutting his beautiful flow, he’s still extremely excited about his big screen opportunity. But as soon as filming wraps, Harry will likely go on the hunt for other roles that don’t require him to keep his hair short — because he does not want to have short hair if he doesn’t have to!
“Harry‘s been telling pals that he will grow his hair long again after he’s done filming,” the source added. “He won’t be cutting it for a while again after this.”
Even if Harry’s fans aren’t very thrilled with how his hair looks since he got it cut, it sounds like his hair won’t stay that way for long. Plus, he donated his hair to a charity called Little Princess Trust, so that helps fans cope with the shocking chop too! And besides, Harry is so hot, who cares what his hair looks like, right? Especially if it’ll be long again in the future!
