“The first was I forgot to put my hood on for the solo dance,” she began in a blog for Extra. “I had the now very well-known ‘nip-slip’ on national television, and lastly I forgot to take off the tear-away skirt at the end of our Team Dance. I guess it just shows this can happen to the best of us. I clearly had no idea about the wardrobe malfunction!”
To make light of the situation, the Aussie red head also shared a video on Instagram of her BFF and fellow pro, Peta Murgatroyd, giving her a hand by pointing out the skirt after their group dance. “#bestfriends will always let you know,” she captioned the cute clip.
In case you missed what happened, Sharna was dancing the tango with Antonio Brown in an incredible sheer ensemble, but the fabric slipped down just a little too low at one point. Host Tom Bergeron came to the rescue, though, and kept things light while letting Sharna know she had to pull her dress up on live television.
“I don’t think I have ever seen a brighter shade of red — I think my skin matched my hair!” the 30-year-old admitted. “I was so embarrassed, not just about the situation, but about the fact that I seriously had no idea it even happened! I am grateful everyone made light of the situation and it was not as embarrassing as it could’ve been, but I will forever be in the nip slip category of television.”
Antonio and Sharna are one of six couples left competing for the coveted Mirror Ball this season, surviving a double elimination during Monday’s episode. However, of the remaining teams, they got the lowest score during the May 2 show, so hopefully the viewers voted for them hard to keep them in it!
HollywoodLifers, how do you think Sharna and DWTS handled the nip slip situation?
