She had a lot going on and maybe didn’t need his help as much.” Another source adds that Prince did send money from time to time to Apollonia. Mayte was recently spotted crying outside of her home and telling photographers that she would be heading to Minnesota for Prince’s funeral. Prince and Mayte were married from 1996 – 2000.
