Long and short, curly and straight — Prince rocked just about every hair look there is and made each one his own. In the “Purple Rain” era, in 1984, he rocked gelled curls with tons of body and no frizz.
At the Super Bowl halftime show in 2007, he played some of his biggest hits as well as some covers, including “Let’s Go Crazy”, “Baby I’m a Star”, “Proud Mary”, “All Along the Watchtower”, “Best of You”, and “Purple Rain.”

In November 2015, Prince rocked a large afro on stage at the American Music Awards in Los Angeles. He also rocked an afro on the TV show “New Girl.”
On Prince’s album cover for Prince, which was released 1979, he’s rocking long, feathered locks, curled away from his face. Along with his shoulder-length locks, he’s rocking a mustache and showing off his chest hair.
