1. Donald Trump almost lost his hair at WrestleMania.
There have been only three “Hair Vs. Hair Matches (where a loser gets their head shaved) at WrestleMania, per About.com and the last one, at WrestleMania 23, was dubbed “The Battle of The Billionaires.” Donald Trump, 69, and Vince McMahon, 70, made a bet: they’d each pick a wrestler to fight and if their superstar lost, they’d have their head shaved. Donald’s Bobby Lashley beat Vince’s Umaga and the Chairman of the WWE got a major makeover, courtesy of the current GOP presidential candidate.
2. Trump has also set a WWE WrestleMania record.
Donald’s been in and out of a WWE ring since 1988. He even brought WrestleMania IV to the Trump Plaza in Atlantic City, per Rolling Stone. The event was so successful, he brought it back the next year for WrestleMania V, and that’s the only time a city has hosted WrestleManias back-to-back.
3. WrestleMania had one of the longest matches in WWE history.
Shawn Michaels, 50, faced his blood-rival, Bret Hart, 58 for the then-WWF Championship at WrestleMania 12 in 1996 in the very first ever Iron Man Match. The wrestler that scored the most pinfalls or submissions in one hour won the championship. But neither Bret nor Shawn scored a single victory when the clock ran out, so they went into overtime! At 61:56, Shawn pinned Bret and won the title.
4. No women’s match has broken the 10-minute mark.
The longest match between two of the WWE’s divas was at WrestleMania 22, when Trish Stratus lost the WWE’s Women’s Championship to Mickie James. However, it only lasted 8:48, per What Culture. At WrestleMania 32, Charlotte will defend her Divas Championship against “The Boss” Sasha Banks, 24, and Becky Lynch, 29, in a triple-threat, per Rolling Stone, and this battle may not just break the 10-minute barrier, it may just steal the show.
5. The Streak is still alive – but it no longer belongs to The Undertaker.
When The Undertaker suffered his first loss at WrestleMania 30, it ended the longest undefeated streak in WrestleMania history. Now, the new Streak belongs to former WWE wrestler, Rob Van Dam, 45, per WWE.com. However, Rob hasn’t been in the company since 2014, so it’s unlikely he’ll make it to 21-0 like Taker.
