Barbara Palvin, 22, is NOT about to listen to negative comments surrounding her figure — and we full heartedly support her! In just one moving Twitter post, the model shut her haters DOWN and made us all feel a little bit better about ourselves in the process. Way to slay, Barbara! This is one gorgeous girl you do not want to miss with. See her powerful message below.
“Wooow. I got some nasty comments about me being fat,” Barbara tweeted in response to the nasty comments she’s received on social media. “Well I am not as skinny as I was when I was 18. But I don’t consider myself fat!” You tell em, Barbara! Since appearing in the 2016 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition, the model has unfortunately dealt with quite a bombardment of viscous comments surrounding her size. Barbara was not only called “fat,” but also “pregnant,” — how uncalled for is that?!

Luckily Barbara’s got a great team of supporters out there who quickly came to her rescue. “I met you a few times and you’re probably the most beautiful women I have ever seen so please don’t listen to them,” one fan gushed. Another one tweeted, “Ignore those people, they do not know what to say. They have only malice and envy, and you are beautiful!!!!!” We’re going to have to agree with that last commenter, these people have to just be jealous of Barbara’s killer curves and envy-worthy flat stomach. After all, if Barbara is considered fat can we be fat too?
And while it’s great that the Hungarian model didn’t let the cruel words get her down — at least for long, it’s also totally unfortunate that she had to deal with such criticism in the first place. We hate that Barbara even felt the need to defend herself at all by admitting that she’s not as “skinny” as she was when she was a teen. Newsflash haters: you don’t have to be stick-thin in order to have rockin bod.
In her latest spread, for both the Swimsuit Issue itself and Sports Illustrated‘s Swim Daily website, Barbara posed for a variety of sizzling images modeling sexy string bikinis, cut-out monokinis, and, in a few cases, no top at all — ow ow! While it was her Sports Illustrated debut, she joined the likes of Gigi Hadid, 20, and Chrissy Teigen, 30, which is a pretty major milestone for any model. No matter what the haters say, Barbara is no doubt killing the modeling game and we can’t wait to see what project this beauty takes on next. Keep doing you, girl!
