“At the wake, the family was furious at how Drita came in with bodyguards escorting her, which made a scene. There were all family and friends there. This was a private event. None of the other girls behaved that way. One family member even made a comment saying, ‘Doesn’t she know that there’s only one star here today?’ They felt she was trying to steal the spotlight and make it all about her. They felt her behavior was fake and for theatrical purposes — a pathetic attempt to take away from the fact that she just beat up an innocent woman,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
Of course, our source is referring to Drita’s arrest earlier this month. As TMZ reported, Drita allegedly assaulted a woman in Staten Island after a verbal dispute. The Mob Wives star was arrested and cited for misdemeanor assault.
It’s so sad that instead of paying her respects, Drita seems to have treated Big Ang’s wake like an episode of Mob Wives. Shame on her. A rep for Drita, however, tells HollywoodLife.com that this is simply “not true. Drita did not hire bodyguards. Bodyguards were hired for the fans who attended the services. Drita came with her daughter and was very upset,” he told us.
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Ang passed away on Feb. 18, 2016 after losing her battle to cancer.
